hello!
My name is Alison McIntosh and I live in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I am passionate about the benefits mindfulness can offer in improving wellbeing and developing emotional intelligence to help people live their lives with intention, meaning, awareness and insight.

I first developed an interest in mindfulness, in 2013, when I was diagnosed with endometriosis. Cultivating a consistent mindfulness practice has been invaluable in helping me manage pain, develop resilience and improve the quality of my life. I also started to notice the benefits in other areas of my life e.g. in personal relationships and the workplace etc. Mindfulness enables me to bring more meaning, awareness, intention and ease into my life, helping me to choose how I relate and respond to my thoughts and emotions rather than impulsively reacting.

Over time, my practice has become increasingly important to me resulting in me undertaking formal mindfulness training with Breathworks and receiving accreditation in June 2022. I now offer 8 week courses, themed workshops and personal practice mentoring.
My teaching style is grounded in empowering participants to develop their awareness and identify sustainable techniques to help them navigate life’s challenges with compassion.
Beyond my mindfulness practice and offering, I love travelling, going to gigs, tending to my plants and eating out.
